Jean-Yves Asselin

Each year, Manuvie supports the volunteers of Tremblant’s 24h of Skiing and awards the 24h Manuvie hero prize to the most outstanding volunteer

For his devotion and commitment to the 24h of Skiing, Jean-Yves Asselin was chosen unanimously. Jean-Yves donates his time and does not accept rewards. He is the first to arrive and often the last to leave the volunteer lounge. He is perfectionist and takes the management of radios and equipment to heart.  People joke that he even keeps careful count of his paperclips.

He is openhanded and always makes an effort to find a solution to every small problem. He even takes the time to walk volunteers to their workstation when they are not familiar with the mountain. He is fatherly with the volunteers and the members of the HQ volunteer team. He has a good sense of humour and is always in a good mood. He is also a good instructor and loves to share his knowledge.

In addition to the coveted trophy, Jean-Yves will receive a prize money of $1,000 donated to the charity of his choice in his name.
