Émylou started limping during gym classes and hurt herself whenever she bumped into things. In July 2015, she was diagnosed with synovial cell sarcoma, a cancer that creates soft-tissue tumours. After chemotherapy proved unsuccessful, Émylou, just 9 at the time, had a leg amputated. Today she lives life to the fullest and wants to be a pastry chef, a hydrotherapist or an actor when she grows up.
