My motivations:
Did you know that for specialized care, one child in two is referred to Sainte-Justine, which serves the entire population of Quebec?
My daughter Hannah (4.5) was one of those children when she was diagnosed with a cataract in her right eye at 3 years old. For the foreseeable future, Hannah has to wear a patch on her eye everyday for 3-4 hours. Eventually, she will need a surgery which is actually the same surgery senior citizens typically receive for cataracts. Thankfully, Hannah is a trouper and the Sainte-Justine is monitoring her eye and patch therapy to delay the surgery (which can be trickier on little kids) as much as possible. The goal is to ensure she can gain adequate visibility in her eye and see the world's beauty as we all should. Your support impacts kids like Hannah, thank you in advance!
