Years of participation
My motivations:
Hi Everyone! This will be my 9th year participating in the 24 hour charity event at Mont Tremblant, Quebec. Every year this great event raises more and more money for children's charities in Southern Quebec and Eastern Ontario. Again this year we are raising money for the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and their cancer treatment programs for kids; Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau that provides cancer treatment for children from all parts of Quebec and funds research to help defeat and prevent childhood cancers; and Fondation Tremblant who's goal is to help underprivileged children in the Laurentiens obtain a better quality of life with sport, education, art, and cultural activities. The 2 newer beneficiaries are back again this year: CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation and The Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation. CHEO is our local children's hospital in Ottawa, who has helped so many kids over the years. Our Child Ambassador this year is Theodore. He is 9 years old and was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, where there have been only 30 cases since 1985. Thanks to an anonymous bone marrow transplant, he is now in remission. With your help, we can help more kids like Theodore. Please give whatever you can, even if only a little. Thank you for your support!
